My apartment is in Shenley Wood Village and you have to be 60 to live here, or 55 in exceptional circumstances. I have a lovely apartment on the first floor. It is at the end of the building so it has a wrap-around balcony.. the apartments are all designed to assist disabled people. The apartments are wheelchair friendly, and contains aids and adaptations to assist you, including a wet room. There are lifts to all floors. There is a range of activities in the village, including bar singers, events in the big hall, playing cards, bingo, quiz night. There are just too many to mention. Care is available if and when needed. We have a hairdresser, grocery shop, library and computer room, craft room, restaurant, bar and coffee shop.
